Turkey's CTC Mining is about to develop a new bauxite mine
Turkey's CTC Mining plans to start mining a new bauxite mine next week, having secured the rights last week and plans to start mining early next week. "We will have bauxite available for sale in early June," a company source said. In June, the new mining area plans to produce about 70,000 tons. The annual capacity of bauxite in the new mining area is 1 million tons, and the planned output is about 300,000 tons this year. They have three bauxite mines with a combined annual capacity of 1.9 million tonnes. In March, its bauxite production was about 60,000 tons, and it is expected to be stable in April. They mainly supply Al2O3 52-53%SiO2 7%max bauxite, the current offshore price of Turkey 35-36 US dollars/ton, temporarily no inventory. In 2019, its target production is about 600,000 tons, and next year, it plans to produce about 1.7 million tons.
