1.The Aluminum Association, together with dozens of groups, endorses the Promoting Efficient Review for Modern Infrastructure Today (PERMIT) Act, which aims to cut red tape, reduce costly project delays and litigation, and enhance the efficiency, consistency and transparency of the permitting process. The U.S. House of Representatives has passed the act;

2.Mexico's Congress has approved tariff hikes on some aluminum products imported from China and other countries, and announced the strengthening of the aluminum import monitoring system. The Aluminum Association is reviewing the details of the new laws;

3.The Aluminum Association submitted testimony to the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) regarding the review of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), attracting attention from multiple industry media outlets;

4.USTR Ambassador Jamieson Greer testified before the Senate Appropriations Committee, covering the 2026 budget, progress of bilateral trade agreements, the USMCA joint review process, and the "America First" trade policy agenda;
