Welcome to the top 20 | aluminum industry growth

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, China's aluminum industry has been cast by heart, and the original intention of benefiting thousands of households and industries has remained unchanged - China has firmly ranked as the world's largest aluminum producer and consumer, and the scale of aluminum industry and consumer demand have steadily increased, playing an irreplaceable role in building the material foundation of national prosperity, people's well-being and social harmony.

After steel, aluminum is the second largest metal used by humans. Due to its excellent physical and chemical properties and relatively low cost, aluminum and aluminum alloys are widely used in aviation, chemical industry, transportation, construction, national defense and other industries. At the same time, aluminum resources are very rich, according to preliminary calculations, its mineral reserves account for more than 8% of the crustal composition, the highest content in the metal.

Aluminum industry is an important basic raw material industry in China's national economy, and plays an irreplaceable strategic role in economic construction, national defense and the development of high-tech emerging industries. At present, China's aluminum industry system has been completely established, the overall level of technical equipment into the world's advanced ranks, become the world's largest aluminum production and consumer.

The growing aluminum industry is holding up a more brilliant tomorrow of the Chinese nation. Whether it is in the forging of large-scale heavy equipment in manned spaceflight, lunar exploration, deep-sea engineering and other projects, or in the manufacturing of sophisticated products in the fields of integrated circuits, high-speed bullet trains, new energy batteries, as well as in the construction of infrastructure and the production of necessities in construction, transportation, office, life, etc., aluminum can be seen. Especially since 2020, with the implementation of the "double carbon" goal continues to go deeper and deeper, aluminum as an ideal green material is becoming more and more widely recognized, providing a solid backing for the development of national strategic emerging industries such as new energy vehicles, and playing an important role in the road to low-carbon construction, packaging, transportation and other industries.

According to the industrial chain, China's aluminum industry mainly includes bauxite, alumina, electrolytic aluminum, aluminum processing, recycled aluminum five major modules. Bauxite is extracted to get alumina, alumina is electrolyzed to get electrolytic aluminum, and electrolytic aluminum is processed into aluminum by means of melting casting, rolling, extrusion, stretching and forging, etc., which is applied in various fields. According to rough calculations, it takes 2 tons of bauxite to produce 1 ton of alumina, and 2 tons of alumina to produce 1 ton of electrolytic aluminum. In addition, in order to vigorously develop the circular economy and alleviate the shortage of bauxite resources in China, the recycled aluminum industry has gradually grown into an important part of China's aluminum industry. Recycled aluminum is aluminum alloy or aluminum metal obtained by remelting and refining from waste aluminum and aluminum alloy materials or aluminum-containing waste, which is an important source of metal aluminum, mainly in the form of aluminum alloy.

The production of the main products of the aluminum industry is growing rapidly

  (1) The structural reform of the supply side of the electrolytic aluminum industry has achieved outstanding results, and the output of electrolytic aluminum has entered the stage of low growth from medium-high growth.

From 2013 to 2021, the annual output of electrolytic aluminum in China increased from 26.53 million tons to 38.5 million tons, an increase of 11.97 million tons, a growth rate of 45.1%. Its growth can be broadly divided into two phases. The first stage is from 2013 to 2016, which is a medium-high growth stage, with a compound annual growth rate of about 5.4%. The second stage is from 2017 to the present, which is a low-speed growth stage, and the compound annual growth rate has dropped to about 3.6%. In 2017, the electrolytic aluminum industry began to implement supply-side structural reforms, strictly limiting the scale of new capacity, and new capacity must be replaced by closing old capacity in equal or reduced quantities. Under the regulation of a series of industry policies, the growth rate of electrolytic aluminum production in China has successfully "brake deceleration" and scientifically returned to reasonable growth space. At present, China has formed a "ceiling" of electrolytic aluminum production capacity of 45 million tons.

  (2) Alumina production has increased steadily, and has entered a low growth stage with electrolytic aluminum.

From 2013 to 2021, the annual production of alumina in China will increase from 47.75 million tons to 77.48 million tons, an increase of 29.73 million tons, with a growth rate of 62.3%. Its growth with electrolytic aluminum can be roughly divided into two stages. The first stage is from 2013 to 2016, which is a medium-high growth stage, with a compound annual growth rate of about 6.3%. The second stage is from 2017 to the present, which is a low-speed growth stage, and the compound annual growth rate has dropped to about 4.9%.

  (3) The production of aluminum has increased substantially, providing a material basis for China's national economic construction.

With the continuous development of China's economy and the acceleration of green industry, the demand for aluminum in the civil and commercial fields continues to rise; At the same time, aluminum is also an important material for major projects in aerospace, deep-sea development and other fields. From 2013 to 2021, China's annual production of aluminum increased from 33.49 million tons to 61.05 million tons, an increase of 27.56 million tons, a growth rate of 82.3%, to meet the demand for aluminum in all fields of society.

  (4) The production of recycled aluminum continues to rise, and the recycled aluminum industry has become an important part of China's aluminum industry.

On February 5, 2013, The State Council issued China's first circular economy development strategic plan - Circular Economy Development Strategy and near-term Action Plan (hereinafter referred to as the Action Plan). According to the "Action Plan", the near-term goal of China's development of circular economy is: by the end of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan", the main resource output rate will increase by 15% over the end of the "eleventh Five-Year Plan", and the total output value of the resource recycling industry will reach 1.8 trillion yuan; The medium and long term goals are: widespread implementation of circular production mode, popularization of green consumption mode, initial establishment of a resource recycling system covering the whole society, substantial increase in resource output rate, and significant enhancement of sustainable development capacity. To this end, China's aluminum industry has taken measures to vigorously increase the production of recycled aluminum. From 2013 to 2021, China's annual production of recycled aluminum increased from 5.27 million tons to 8 million tons, an increase of 2.73 million tons, a growth rate of 51.8%.

Since the 18th National Congress, Metal-new has been focusing on aluminum melt purification research to help the growth of the aluminum industry.

Aluminum and its alloys are easy to oxidize and absorb gas in the process of melting and pouring, and are easy to form defects such as inclusion and porosity in the process of die casting, which is unfavorable to the alloy structure, thereby reducing the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of the alloy and reducing the yield. Therefore, the key to improve the quality of aluminum die casting is to control the melting process reasonably and improve the quality of aluminum melt. Fujian Metal-new Technology Co., Ltd. is an innovative enterprise specializing in the production and research of aluminum alloy smelting process technology, special equipment and high-performance special purpose aluminum alloy materials. It was established in Minhou County, Fuzhou, Fujian Province in November 2010, with a registered capital of 40.47 million yuan. The founder of the company is the former director of Non-ferrous Metal Melting Research Institute and Xinzuo Material Equipment Technology Research Institute of Fuzhou University, engaged in aluminum alloy melt treatment and purification related research for more than 30 years.

The company to "hand and brain, toward innovation" as the motto, has a perfect technical team, existing staff 110 people, adhere to the people-oriented, the pursuit of excellence, innovation and integrity. He has won 2 first prizes, 3 second prizes and 4 third prizes of provincial and ministerial scientific and technological progress.
